There are three parts of nature that influence our search for direction in life. First, the sky. The sky, the constellations that circle above, and our relation to them, and the inspiration that they and the sun and moon and all the light and gravitational forces they exert give us every day.
Secondly, the surface of the Earth around us. Whatever biome we live in, from the desert to the forest, seaside, prairie, rural or urban. The trees, brush, grasses, wildlife, and climate all interact together and give us the environment we live in. This can inspire or sadden us, but it’s understanding the connections that gives us direction.
The last is the soil, the earth itself and the communities of life that exist just beneath our feet. Here’s where we can make the biggest difference, leave our mother earth healthier than we find her. This also vastly influences nature on the surface level. Watching the interactions of life on these three levels is revealing and when we bring them together, we get what’s gone before, what we have now and what we can do to interact and bring into the future.
Nature is true to its environment, amazing in its complexity of connections, its vitality, and its inspiration to all who join in its impetus to thrive.
